All are crucial. If you are applying for a major loan such as a mortgage, they tend to run all three and average the fico scores.

Micheal

A voluntary repo is still a repo. You owe the balanced after the car was sold, plus interest, legal and other fees.

My question to you is why are you wasting money on a credit monitoring? That repo is a huge negative and it will take a minimum of 2 years to see any kind of improvement to your score. Instead of wasting money on credit monitoring, save up that cash so you can negotiate lump sum settlements for your defaulted debts. Or pay cash for a new vehicle.

If you are paying as agreed. Your score is what it is. They use outstanding debt as a % of your total income. Lower the debt, better is your score. Most people go by equifax FICO score

Bonnie

Well, I don't know if these answers apply to everyone the same, but here they are for me.

1. False
2. Credit companies do not notify you when your credit report has changed (I wish!)
3. All the above?
4. More money will be deposited than through a standard check
5. True

Thank you

Javier

Contact the credit card companies, and freeze all the accounts or cancel the cards... and contact the police to launch a fraud investigation.

My dad got his identity stolen by using his bank card somewhere, and we had to launch an investigation, and once it's proved you didn't spend the money, it won't affect your credit.

The best thing to do is stop using the cards, and don't open new ones until you get it sorted out.

If it was your bank card stolen, you may need to withdraw all of the money, clear out the account, and open a new one.

If someone has been spending your money on credit cards...call the company and ask for an itemized statement, and any purchases that weren't from you, look into.
Contact either the credit card company OR the actual retaler the item was bought from and get the shipping address, take it to the police and find out who's been using your card.

Call a financial advisor to get it straightened out, AND
in order to verfiy your identity, you should be able to use your social security number/card. Unless someone stole the number..that's the one thing that can prove youn are who you say you are.

Hope some of that helps!

Beatrice

Your credit rating will be reduced if you have at any time in the last few (5 I believe, but not 100% sure) years defaulted on any loans, or credit card repayments. You will probably also find that if you have not had a credit card or a loan for very long, you will not get a top credit rating. Put simply, anyone who hasn't previously had a credit agreement will not have any history of how they tend to manage their repayments, so its not possible to say whether they are high or low risk. So they tend to be more "middle of the road" which is where you are.
