An Inquiry is when you (or someone who has access to your personal info) applies for a loan, credit card or mortgage. An inquiry is when someone does a hard pull on your credit report to see the score etc. If you have not applied for any loans etc I would check into this. Also, are you signed up with some sort of service that monitors your credit? If so, they are telling you that there was an inquiry made, and that you should look at your own credit report to see whether it IS something you should be concerned about.
