Credit report question?

undecided asked:

If you dispute something from a report pulled online from a credit monitoring service is it considered a paid for credit report? The credit report agencies have 30 days to respond, right?

If you dispute a account that is posted on your credit report they have 30 days to investigate the claim. Once they investigate they will contact you. Until you get the item removed contact the reporting agency and issue a statement “eg.) This account is under investigation for Whatever Reason” or something to that affect this will help you out tremendously especially if you are applying for credit as your future creditors will see that and it remains on your report for 2 years but you can remove it at any time

    best of luck

ans yes, the company to whom you are disputing a debt has 30 days to reply

you are entitled to one credit report a year free of charge, and if you dispute it they will have 30-45 days to respond and if they dont then good for you! good luck
